We highly recommend that when you sign up for your Shopify trial that you do so with an email address attached to a business PayPal account (so that you can use it to accept payments in your store). If you only have a personal PayPal account, you can turn it into a business account for free.

We also recommend that when creating your store that you use the Chrome Browser. While it is not required to complete this step, you will need it for later videos: so it is a good idea to start getting used to it now! 

1. So, you’ll find a link to Shopify on this page. You can click on that to go to Shopify now. Please note, that is an affiliate link, which means I may get a commission if you use it. Using it is optional but it’s always appreciated, so thank you very much to everyone that does so!

2. Once you have come to Shopify, click ‘Start free trial’.

3. n the next page, type in the email address you want to create an account with. Next, type in the password you want to use to sign in to your Shopify account. Then, type in the name you will call your store. Click ‘Create your store’.

3. On the survey page, just click ‘Skip’. You don’t need to fill it out. It’s optional.

4. On this page, you need to fill in your details. I have blurred this video so you can’t see my private details. It’s important that you fill these details out correctly. These details are going to be used when issuing payments to you. So if you want to get paid and not have any issue receiving your money, be sure to fill out your details correctly. You need to fill in your name, address, phone number. You don’t need to enter a business website address. That is entirely optional. Once done, click ‘Enter my store’.

5. And that’s it! We are done. It is time to move on to the next step.
