Hey guys! For this step, we are going to add collections to our store.

And to avoid mixing anyone up, collections is the exact same thing as categories, except Shopify calls them collections.

Whatever you want to call them, they are really simple and crucial when updating our main menu and our home page.

Here’s how to do it.

How to Add Collections

1. On the home page, click Products. In the drop down menu, select Collections.

2. Now click the Create Collection button on the right hand of your screen.

3. Next, give your collection a title.

4. Now scroll down until you find a box named Collection Type and click Manual.

5. Once you’ve done that, click the Save button.

6. Once saved, scroll down this page again until you find Products. Then click ‘Browse’.

7. Next, manually choose out of your products which ones you would like to add to your collection. Click ‘Add’. You don’t need to click Save this time, as Shopify will automatically do this for you.

8. If you want to add another collection, simply click over Collection again, and repeat the same process as we did for this example.
