International Refund Policy Template
Hi guys! In this step, we’re going to create a Refund Policy page for our store.
Refund policies are very important to protect our store against any Paypal clients or Chargebacks.
And in a later step, we’re going to add this Refund Policy page to our footer menu so that nobody has an excuse for not reading it.
The Refund Policy has been written in a way that the only way that the customer is allowed to get a refund, is if their product is either faulty or broken.
That means people can’t just come in and claim a refund because they don’t like it, or the shipping took longer than expected.
I’ve created 2 Refund Policy templates. One for if you’re based in the US, and one for if you’re a non-US citizen.
If you are based in the USA, you should use the USA template. And if you are an international, then you should use the international refund policy template.
In the USA template, you’ll see a space where you can fill in your details. For example, your P.O box for where customers can ship their refund.
Obviously, if you live outside the USA, this, of course, wouldn’t work. Which is why there is no section for this part in the International version of the template.
Instead, I recommend you just let the customer keep the item, but if they do email you and say the item is faulty or broken, refund them.
Yes, there may be people who intentionally break their items, but these people are very rare, and will never outweigh the number of great customers who visit.
Anyway, now we’ve got all of covered, here are the steps to adding your Refund Policy page.
How to Add a Refund Policy Page
Click on the Online Store button.
2. In its drop-down menu, click Pages.
3. Now click Add Page, on the right side of your page.
4. In the title box, type in ‘Refund Policy’.
5. In the contents section below, paste either the International or USA template. Below are the links to both:

This is easy if you’re using the international based templates. You only need to replace the dummy text that says [insert email here] with your own email. Just make sure it’s an email address you will be checking regularly.
7. Once you’ve gone and edited the template, click Save.
