In this video, we’re going to add payment providers to your store. First, we’re going to check if your store is set to USD (United States Dollar). I highly recommend that new sellers focus on selling to United States. Even if you decided to expand and sell to other countries, you still need your store to be in USD because it’s an international currency that everybody expects to see.
Please note, however, that changing your currency to USD is not available to all countries.
Now, let’s start! First, click on Settings. Then click on General.
Once, you’re there scroll down and go to Standards and Formats. Choose Imperial System and on the weight unit, make sure to choose Pound.
Next, on the Store Currency, make sure to choose US Dollar. Then click on Save.
Then, go back to Settings and click on Payment Providers.
We don’t have to do anything with Paypal, it’s set up automatically. What we want to do is set up Shopify Payments. Now, click on Complete Account Setup button.
Next, you have to fill in the details like your Business Type, Business Address. Then fill out your Personal Details as well.
On the Product Details, include a short description of the products you sell.
Now, on the billing statement, you need to have a phone number where your customers can contact you. If you don’t have a business number, you can add your personal one.
Then, on the Banking information, put in the bank account details where you want to get paid in. Then, click on Complete Account Set Up.
And that’s it, we’ve successfully completed the set up for Shopify Payments and we also have Paypal running in our store.
