In this video, I will show you how to add shipping option.

First, in Shopify go to Settings, then select Shipping and delivery. I’m going to show you how to add two different types of shipping option.

Number 1, I’m going to show you how to add a universal shipping option as free shipping. The reason why I recommend free shipping is that creating lots of different prices for lots of different products is pretty complicated and it’s much easier to take the shipping price and add it to your product price for you to offer free shipping.

I’m also going to show you how to exclusively set the shipping for United States. There are multiple reasons why we set shipping exclusively for the United States and they are:

1. There are a lot of print on demand pioneers in the United States that are really high quality
2. If you’re dropshipping, there is no tariff because the tariff threshold in the United States is around $800. That means that your packages have to be $800 or more to have tariffs on them.
3. The United States is huge, it’s gianormous. So selling exclusively to United States is good as a beginner.

After I teach you how to set free shipping to United States, I will then teach you how to set up the “just pay shipping” promo where the customer purchase for $0 for the product and just pay $9.95 for shipping charge.

First, let’s set up the Free Shipping. Come and click, Manage rates.

Delete the default shipping settings that Shopify has. Then click on Create Shipping zones. On the zone name, type in United States then select United States then tick the box to select it. Click on Done button.

Now click Add rate. On the rate name, put Free Shipping.

On the price, set as O.00 USD. Then click Done and Save.

That’s very easy and simple, free shipping. The more complicated one, is setting up free, just pay shipping option.

So go back to Shipping settings, click on Create new profile.

On the Name field, just type in Just Pay Shipping. Then you will have to select the products that you want to sell for $9.95 for the shipping. When you’re done selecting the products, go to Create shipping zone. Choose United States then click Done.

Next on the rate name, put Standard Shipping and on the price $9.95 USD. Now, we’re going to click on Add conditions and we’re going to add on the Minimum weight 1 pound and Maximum weight is 1 pound. Click Done.

We now have to click on Add rate as customer might buy 2 sets or 3 sets at a time. So click on Add rate. On the name, put Standard Shipping. On the price, so it it’s 2 sets, it’s $9.95 x 2 so that’s $19.90. On the conditions, set minimum weight to 2 pounds and maximum weight to 2 pounds. Click done then do the same process for adding rate for 3 sets.

You can add rates for at least 5 sets to make sure that it’s set up in but customer usually buy just 2 or 3 sets the most.

Now, you’ve set up rates for 5 sets. Click on Save.

To make sure that you’ve set up the Just Pay Shipping option, you have to go in the admin area of the product, you scroll down to weight and set it to 1 pound.

Once a customer purchase the spoons, the shipping weight that it’s going to see is 1 pound and then charge the customer $9.95 for the shipping. If they purchase 2, then it’s going to see that it’s 2 pounds and then will charge the customer $19.90. Once that’s all done, click on Save. 

To show you how it looks when the products are added to cart,  here’s how it’s supposed to look:

As you can see, we have the Camera Lens Mug which is on a Free Shipping and the Rockstar Guitar Spoons which is on the Just Pay Shipping option so the price is $0.00. 

If you proceed to checkout, you will see the price for the mug and the price for the shipping fee for the 2 sets of spoons for a total of $39.95.

That’s it! Go ahead and set your shipping options now.
